Winning Government Business

ICN Victoria has teamed up with Small Business Victoria to deliver workshops to help small and medium businesses maximise their chances to win government tenders.

‘Government procurement for 2016/17 is expected to be around $20 billion in Victoria alone, making public projects one of the largest commercial areas for SMEs,’ ICN’s Victorian Industry Adviser, Lenni Karmis said.

‘Understanding the tendering process, and how to effectively engage with Government, is crucial to winning Government tenders.’

‘These workshops are a must for business owners and employees who are keen to win new business and are planning to tender for Government contracts.

The workshop content has been developed by the Government itself, which means you will get first hand insight into the process and protocols you need to know to help your business win valuable Government contracts.

Delivered by a procurement expert and supported by useful and high quality resources that you can take away with you, you will be equipped with hints and tips to make your proposal stand-out.

‘Our first workshop, back in October, was fully booked within hours of being announced, which shows that businesses realise the importance of understanding Government tender processes’ Lenni Karmis said.

‘If you are a Gateway user, we encourage you to sign up to receive ‘General ICN information & updates’ on your Gateway profile so you don’t miss out.

‘And if you are not on Gateway, then this is just one of the many reasons it is important to create a profile on Australia’s most powerful online tool connecting suppliers to major projects.’
