Upper Spencer Gulf Economic Participation Region

The Upper Spencer Gulf has been declared an Economic Participation Region under the Industry Participation Policy for the next four years. Government infrastructure and maintenance procurements to be conducted in the region will look for local businesses to perform the work. A 20 per cent weighting will be applied for new contracts to promote this objective.

The South Australian Government has identified $145 million of Government capital investment projects that will occur in the Upper Spencer Gulf, with around $56 million already underway or scheduled in 2017-18. This project pipeline will provide clear opportunities for local small businesses to be involved.

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) provides Across Government Facilities Management Arrangements to State Government agencies, for the maintenance, management and improvement of government building assets. DPTI also has panel agreements in place for frequent low-value purchases. You will need to be registered with DPTI and meet certain criteria to be eligible
