ICN Victoria launches Monitoring and Reporting Service

ICN Victoria has made it easier for lead contractors to manage a projects local content commitments under the Victorian Industry Participation Policy (VIPP).

This monitoring and reporting system gives applicable contractors a proactive, efficient and cost-effective approach to managing sub-contractors’ VIPP obligations.

It captures real-time supply chain and employment data including:
  • SMEs and manufacturers who have won work.
  • Suppliers who have won work by region.
  • Employment: new, existing, apprenticeships, traineeships, disadvantaged workers; and
  • Secured local content outcomes.

Through a simple monitoring and reporting dashboard, the tool actively monitors sub-contractors’ progress, providing dynamic reports that highlight any deviation from the head contractor’s local content commitments.

‘At the practical completion of a VIPP contract, the head contractor is required to provide the VIPP outcomes achieved, and statutory declaration to the relevant department or agency.’ ICN Victorian Commercial Manager Andy Balmain said.

‘This tool gives them all that information at their fingertips.’
