The Australian and Victorian Governments are funding the $126 million Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment through the Geelong City Deal, a collaborative plan to transform Geelong and the Great Ocean Road by the Australian and Victorian Governments and local councils.

The key scope items being delivered within the Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment are to be:

  1. Visitor Experience Centre inclusive of services and infrastructure which supports universal access within flexible spaces to be used for retail, food and beverage and interpretive exhibition spaces.
  2. The rooftop of the centre serves a dual purpose, being a roof and creating an external observation deck for patrons to view the Shipwreck coast from.
  3. The centre will also provide for public washroom amenities, office and staff administration and back of house and maintenance areas.
  4. Road infrastructure and landscaping upgrade works to include expansion of the existing carpark facilities, intuitive wayfinding practices, as well as enabling infrastructure for emergency access to/from the Visitors Experience Centre.
  5. A key focus within the design aligns with Traditional Owner beliefs of minimising our footprint with the intent to reduce harm to country. The revegetation of landscape is to include native grasses and coastal flora and fauna.

Join us to hear from Development Victoria about the timing of procurement activity and details of possible works packages such as:

  • Earthworks, Civil and Stormwater
  • Concrete, Structural Steel, Facade Systems, Roofing, Waterproofing, Glazing
