Copper to the World Conference

A Global Forum for Copper Connections

I am pleased to invite you to the 2018 Copper to the World Conference, to be officially opened by Minister for Energy and Mining the Hon. Dan van Holst Pellekaan, MP.

This year’s conference will focus on the future of copper under the themes of international perspectives, new technologies, innovation and engagement, and discovering the next copper resources.

I am also pleased to announce two recent additions to the conference program. Jorge Cantallopts Director of Research and Public Policies, Chilean Copper Commission, will speak about the emerging trends of green copper and Mark Carroll First Assistant Secretary, Department of Defence, will speak about the Review of the Woomera Prohibited Area Coexistence Framework.

Conference delegates will also hear from a range of other local and international experts, including Vanessa Davidson Director Copper Strategy and Research, CRU (London), who will give an outlook on the copper market and Andrés Pesce Aaron, Vice President, Sustainability and New Business, Fundacion Chile, who will describe the successful METS open innovation platform from Fundacion Chile.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to network with industry colleagues at a welcome reception. Registrations for both the conference and reception are now open.

I look forward to seeing you there.
