The recently concluded ICN Clean Energy & Manufacturing Summit 2023 marked a pivotal moment for Industry leaders, Government representatives, and stakeholders in the manufacturing and Clean Energy Sectors. Hosted in a virtual setting for maximum accessibility, the summit served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and networking.
ICN plays a crucial role in connecting Australian and New Zealand businesses’ to projects of all sizes bridging opportunities for local businesses. With a mission to save time, money and identifying Australian suppliers with capability to fulfill supply contracts. ICN continues to focus on supporting the Manufacturing and Clean Energy Industry into 2024 by emphasising the importance of engaging, educating and supporting local businesses’ through the developments in these areas, including embarking on the journey to decarbonization and net zero.
The ICN Summit featured an in-depth agenda designed to explore opportunities, share insights and drive the conversation around sustainable growth and innovation in the Clean Energy Industries in Australia. The virtual summit allowed for participants and speakers to participate and engage online in important discussions related to Clean Energy and Manufacturing.
The summit’s primary objective was to create a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking. Those attending had the opportunity to explore the latest Clean Energy policies, manufacturing trends and successful renewable energy projects in Australia providing opportunities for suppliers. Aiming to lay the groundwork for continued collaboration between SMEs, Project Owners, Government Officials and Industry specialists within the Clean Energy & Manufacturing Sectors was a key priority for the summit.
Key Event Highlights:
- Opening address by Hon Ed Husic MP: The Minister for Industry, and Science emhasising the collaboration and innovation as crucial elements for achieving sustainible future.
- Keynote Speaker: Jo Evans Deputy Secretary for Climate Change and Energy gave a comprehensive overview of the governments initiatives and commitment to advancing Clean Energy in Australia and New Zealand.
- Industry experts such as the Professor Roy Green, Dr Vanessa Rauland, Jocelyn Cooper, Paul Hodgson and Dr Neil Thompson were able to all share insights on renewable energy projects and manufacturing best practices.
- Various project owners including Stanwell Corporation, BlueFloat Energy, Queensland Hydro and LAVO were able to provide promising insights into investing into various renewable and clean energy technologies being utilised in significant projects currently underway.
Over the 13 sessions, Summit participants gained insights into clean energy policies, initiatives and upcoming investment opportunities. They also explored manufacturing opportunities, best practices and case studies in the Clean Energy sector. This Summit gave SMEs, industry professionals and government representatives the opportunity to facilitate crucial discussions about the future of clean energy development.
