This new role provides the ICN with a permanent presence in Katherine, servicing businesses across the Katherine Region. Given I have been in the role for a couple of weeks, and this my first report, a little bit about myself and where to over the coming weeks.
Three years ago, I relocated to Katherine with my family in search of adventure, and plenty has been had. Over the years I have worked in the telecommunications, vocational education and local government sectors, developing a breadth of experience that includes management, stakeholder management, business planning, business development (both domestically and internationally), and marketing. I am passionate about working with businesses to problem solve and develop sustainable solutions for growth, amongst other things.
The first couple of weeks has allowed me to find my feet with the support of the team in Darwin and Alice Springs and to them I express my thanks. ICN has an exciting suite of tools designed to assist business and I am looking forward to working with all ICN registered companies and maximising the opportunities for their organisation.
Over the coming weeks I will be making contact with businesses in the Katherine region as a means of introduction in the first instance, and to help me gain a better understanding of your business. This will be an ideal platform to identify ways in which I and ICN can assist you and your business.
I am located in the shared office with the Chamber of Commerce NT at 8/17 First Street Katherine and invite everyone to call in when in town.
I am always contactable via email colin.abbott@icncopynt.org.au or mobile 0409 527 604 and look forward to meeting you over the coming weeks.
All the best,
Colin Abbott
