Bushfire recovery and relief

Over the Christmas period, Australia was in the grip of severe bushfires. This crisis has had a negative affect on many small businesses.

Over the next few months, many ICN offices across the country will be working in varying degrees with the recovery efforts.

The NSW Government has appointed Laing O’Rourke to coordinate the clean-up of fire-damaged properties.

This work may include:

  • removing hazardous materials, including asbestos
  • removing materials destroyed by bush fire
  • removing hazardous tress
  • removing concrete slab foundation, with consent of building owners.

Laing O’Rourke will establish two regional hubs in Northern and Southern NSW, and satellite offices across the state. Project teams will interact with property owners, the community and the local supply chain to manage the works on the ground.

A number of work packages are currently open on ICN Gateway, with Laing O’Rourke committed to working with local subcontractors and regional small businesses. This will not only assist the recovery efforts but also stimulate regional economies.

Meanwhile, if you are an affected company and not already registered with ICN, you may be eligible to get a free Be Compelling subscription through until the end June 30, 2020.

There are also discounted packages for existing paid subscribers on ICN Gateway.
