In late 2020, engineering and construction company CLOUGH won the engineering, procurement and construction role for Waitsia Stage 2 Development. The company listed packages of equipment on ICN Gateway.
Profluid submitted an expression of interest in the valves packages and approached the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, ICNWA’s parent organisation, for advice on how to position itself on this project.
According to Profluid Managing Director Jerome Monteiro, ICNWA was instrumental in helping Profluid to reach out directly to CLOUGH Procurement and was very supportive of the WA-owned business capabilities to assist in that project.
After Profluid won the contracts, Jerome said, “This significant contract award demonstrates our company’s unique positioning in the competitive Australian valves market. It is the result of a focused and constant investment in Profluid’s capabilities to meet customers’ expectations when it comes to delivering specialised valves services.”
ICNWA manager Ray Loh said the company’s win was “much deserved”.
“Profluid’s understanding of how to effectively leverage off ICN’s process, the ability to demonstrate their local content value add and Jerome’s persistence was what helped them achieve this tremendous result,” Ray said, adding that ICNWA is focused on supporting local businesses achieve success.
