The Project

The Metz Solar Project (MSP or the Project) is a 115MWac, 141MWdc greenfield project located 15km east of Armidale (approximately 130km north-east of Tamworth) in NSW. The site is 430ha spread across land historically used for agricultural production. The site comprises a substation, solar panel array, and internal access tracks.

The Key Project components include:

  • photovoltaic solar modules (approximately 284,000 modules)
  • single-axis tracking module framing system mounted on steel piles
  • containerized Power Conversion Units (PCUs)
  • a substation containing transformers, associated switchgear and control and protection equipment
  • operations and maintenance buildings with associated car parking
  • road upgrade works on the site access route
  • above ground and underground cabling
  • internal all-weather access tracks
  • security system and security fencing
  • native vegetation plantings to provide visual screening
  • meteorological station(s); and
  • construction of a HV Connection to connect the Solar Farm Substation to the existing Transgrid substation located near the south western boundary of the Site.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

New Sydney Fish Market

The new Sydney Fish Market (nSFM) will be purpose-built to expand and improve the functions of the existing Sydney Fish Market, which is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Project Sea Dragon

Project Sea Dragon is a large-scale, integrated, land-based prawn aquaculture project in northern Australia designed to produce high-quality and reliable supply of Black Tiger Prawns year round for domestic and export markets.

Iron Bridge Magnetite Project

The Iron Bridge Magnetite Project (Project) is for the development of a new magnetite mine (including processing and transport facilities) and associated infrastructure at the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project site to deliver 22 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of high grade 67% Fe, magnetite concentrate product.
