From humble beginnings in 2003 with just three staff, Red Centre Technology Partners (RCTP) now sits as a powerhouse of IT managed solutions with a team of over 60 servicing Central and Northern Australia. Territory local and owner Craig Reid has created a one-stop-shop, from computer hardware and office equipment to network installation and system management. RCTP’s Alice Springs headquarters and retail showroom acts as the base of operations.
RCTP currently maintain 60 managed service clients, facilitating over 140 company networks. These typically include networks and servers, software and technology infrastructures, data backup systems, and overall network security and risk management, with services provided both at the customer’s premises and remotely.
Most recently, RCTP has been managing projects with five remote communities installing point-to-point Wi-Fi throughout the communities extending the Wi-Fi range and internet speed and improving IT communications. RCTP also maintains and services the learning centres of these communities, where they’re responsible for monitoring internet traffic, disabling certain websites and all software on the systems.
Keeping Central and Northern Australia connected, RCTP carries out restoration of NBN’s copper network and equipment for civil works, currently contracted to Service Stream, Downer, Hills, and Fulton Hogan.
Craig Reid continues to contribute heavily to the local community, annually distributing $65,000 in sponsorships and over $2.5 million a year in wages.
