ICN Limited Executive Director Warren Jansen joined an expert group of panellists for the CyberCX Solution Spotlight series.
ICN Limited takes buyer and supplier security seriously. Over the last few months, ICN Limited has worked in partnership with Foresight Consulting, a now subsidiary company to CyberCX, to further secure its services and applications, building a robust, agile defensive policy framework based on best practice security standards.
Warren joined host Phil Siefert and panellists Gregory Herrmann and Peter Baussmann to discuss the Authority to Operate on AWS program (ATO on AWS), designed to simplify and accelerate security and compliance processes for customers deploying workloads on AWS.
“Industry Capability Network breaks up projects into easily manageable work packages, helping small businesses access major supply chains through our state-of-the-art platform,” said Warren, “Since being created over 30 years ago, we have helped local businesses find $30 billion worth of contracts to keep them working and growing.”
ICN Limited owns, manages, and maintains the IT infrastructure used by the Industry Capability Network offices across the country.
“Our main point of difference is that we don’t just run an IT platform. We actually have key people on the ground at the coalface to drive economic growth in Aus and NZ by supporting local businesses through a trusted network.”
“We are committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and give them a safe online experience,” said Warren, “Regular security monitoring, reviews and updates form an integral part of ICN’s strategies to secure customer data against cyber-attacks.”
The Authority to Operate (ATO) on AWS program aims to assist organisations in managing risk and securing their AWS cloud infrastructure.
Working with federal and local governments, as well as working in regulated public and private sector industries, requires AWS partners and customers to achieve differing security certifications, authorisations and demonstrate their suitability for safeguarding and processing sensitive data.
In line with the Government’s push for sovereign capability, ICN Limited recognised the need to protect local company data, “We saw potential risks to our business through exposure, and we brought on AWS to mitigate risks and to help protect our data.”
The ATO on AWS Program was launched in 2019 to help simplify and accelerate compliance processes and requirements for customers deploying workloads on AWS.
“The security overhaul has provided comfort to SMEs about the security of their data, as well as confidence that we are a secure platform and their information is safe,” said Warren.
After reaping success in the US, the program is now migrating to support AWS customers globally, with an initial focus on the UK (EMEA), Canada and LATAM (LCC), Australia (ANZ), and Singapore.
