Avonlie Solar farm –work packages closing 16, 19, 21 Dec

BEON Energy Solutions has an EPC Contract for the Avonlie Solar Farm with Iberdrola Australia. Avonlie Solar Farm is about 20 kilometres south of Narrandera, NSW and has a nameplate rating of 245.47MWp.

The work packages that are closing very soon include:

  • ATV Servicing and repairs (19 Dec)
  • Coach Hire (19 Dec)
  • Crane hire (19 Dec)
  • Electrical – Site Setup (19 Dec)
  • Fencing – Internal (19 Dec)
  • Generator Servicing (19 Dec)
  • Mowing and Slashing (19 Dec)
  • O&M Building (19 Dec)
  • Onsite Catering (19 Dec)
  • Pallet Disposal (19 Dec)
  • Plumbing services – Site setup (19 Dec)
  • Potable Water Supply (19 Dec)
  • Rubbish Removal (19 Dec)
  • Security – Static Guard (19 Dec)

The farm consists of approximately 455,000 PV (photovoltaic) modules mounted on piers that will be driven into the existing subgrade. In addition to this, there will be 35 power station units. Construction should begin in Q1 2022 and should take 14 months.

Cabramatta Loop Project – closing Dec 21, Feb 22 and Mar 22

Fulton Hogan is the contractor for ARTC’s $80 million project to introduce a 1.65km long passing loop between existing Glenfield and Leightonfield Passing Loops.

The work packages are available for:

  • Drainage pipe supply (31 Dec)
  • Drainage pit supply (31 Dec)
  • Reinforcement Supply (1 Feb 2022)
  • Concrete Supply (1 Feb)
  • Precast Girder (9 Feb)
  • Pot Bearings (Elastomeric) (11 Mar), and
  • Piling (31 Mar).

Major construction is scheduled to commence in mid 2022 and the project is expected to be open to traffic late 2024. This is part of the wider Port Botany Rail Duplication project.

EnergyConnect – SecureEnergy JV – closing March 2022

If you work in the Riverina region, register you interest in future opportunities with SecureEnergy, a Joint Venture between Clough and Elecnor that is running the EnergyConnect project.

They are also looking for camp support services in Balranald, Buronga, Cobb Highway, Dinawan, Lockhart and Renmark Road. Submit your EOI before 30 March 2022.

Work packages are also available for haulage and trucks, arborists, earthmoving plant and equipment (wet and dry hire), elevation lighting and power plant, general cranage and traffic control.

Project EnergyConnect covers the SA/NSW border to Buronga and involves the construction and operation of new high voltage (HV) electricity transmission lines between the NSW-SA border at Chowilla and Buronga; and the expansion of the existing substation facilities at Buronga NSW.

Sydney Gateway – Stages 1 & 3 – 8 packages closing in Dec

The Sydney Gateway project is part of Transport for NSW’s strategy to increase the capacity of the infrastructure and services in the area surrounding Sydney Airport at Mascot.

There are eight work packages available for $2.6b mega project in November and December:

  • Supply sheet piling (17 Dec)
  • Place and finish concrete (31 Dec)
  • Form Reo Pour (Concrete structures) – Formwork, steel fixing, concrete place and finish (31 Dec)
  • Installation of formwork (31 Dec)
  • Steel fixing (31 Dec)
  • Supply of electrical pits, street lights and other electrical materials (31 Dec)
  • Supply of formwork (31 Dec)

There is also a supply and installation of noise walls available until 31 Jan 2022) and steel fabrication – stainless steel package available until 31 March 2022.

New Sydney Fish Market

In essence, the New Sydney Fish Market development comprises a 4 story structure, surrounded by several external precincts. These precincts include new foreshore promenades, wharves, outdoor dining areas, integrated public domain spaces, and road upgrade works to Bridge Road.

Multiplex, as the project contractor, is looking for local suppliers on Doors, Frames and Hardware, Ceilings and Partitions, Masonry.

Long lead projects

Rye Park Wind Farm – long lead project

The $700m 396MW wind farm project consists of 66 wind turbines and associated infrastructure. Three main contractors have been engaged to undertake the works: Zenviron, Vestas and TransGrid. It will be built on an elevated ridgeline near the town of Rye Park, close to Yass in the Southern Tablelands region of NSW. Construction begins in late 2021 and should complete in early 2024.

There are lots of work packages available for this project—from concrete supply, earthmoving and excavation to electrical substation equipment, reinforcing steel, cleaning and fencing.

The project’s construction begins in late 2021 completing in early 2024.

Defence Estates – The Riverina Redevelopment Program – March 22

Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is comprised of CPB Contractors and Downer and relates to Defence’s Riverina Redevelopment Project. The scope comprises major upgrade or replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 25 years.

The joint venture has a number of long lead work packages available under trades (including acoustics, building services, demolition, earthworks, materials handling and pavements) that close in March 2022.

Riverina Redevelopment Program – design closing by 19 Nov, others early 2022

Lendlease and local contractor Joss Construction have combined to form the Lendlease Joss Project Team and are submitting a tender in response to the Riverina Redevelopment Program.

Work packages available until 258 March 2022 include:

  • Waste management services
  • Cadastral (Land) surveyor
  • Environmental scientific services, and
  • Geotechnical services.

The $1b Riverina Redevelopment Project is a program of works across three Department of Defence establishment including:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga), NSW / VIC
  • Kapooka Military Area (including Blamey Barracks), NSW, and
  • RAAF Base Wagga, NSW.

Lendlease and Joss Construction are committed to maximising local industry and indigenous participation in the region, and are interested in hearing from Contractors, Trade Subcontractors who are interested in the works.
