ICN Victoria is engaging with local industry to ensure Gippsland suppliers have an opportunity to be involved in the Latrobe Regional Hospital Expansion – Stage 3A.
An industry briefing webinar in March attracted about 110 people, who heard presentations from ICN’s Andrew Bradley and Colin Young, as well as Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Amy Portelli, Cameron Spence from GROW Gippsland and Matt Beales from Ontoit.
The Victorian Government has invested $217 million to deliver the next stage of the Latrobe Regional Hospital Expansion. The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) are the project owner for the Latrobe Regional Hospital Expansion – Stage 3A. This stage will expand the maternity unit and deliver three new operating theatres, 44 new beds and 14 new medical and surgical beds.
The expansion will provide better and faster services to patients, as well as making it more attractive for healthcare professionals to work and remain in Gippsland.
Scheduled for completion in late 2023, the next stage of the Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion will deliver:
- 44 new inpatient beds
- three new operating theatres
- 14 new medical and surgical beds
- six new intensive care unit beds
- new central sterile services department(CSSD)
- additional emergency department bay
More information about the project is available via the VHBA website.
VHBA is using ICN Gateway to call for expressions of interest in the Latrobe Hospital Expansion project. Colin Young informed webinar participants to make sure their Gateway Profile is current and to register for updates.
