To learn more about values-based recruitment, we spoke with JustWorks Business Development Manager Maceo Liberman.

“Our goal is to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, fostering a more inclusive workforce,” says Liberman.

The organisation supports individuals from priority groups including women, refugees, asylum seekers, and skilled migrants re-entering the workforce. JustWorks offers tailored recruitment support through training, coaching, and mentorship.

Currently, JustWorks collaborates with employers across a range of sectors, including on major projects in civil engineering, procurement, finance, and project management. They also assist with cadetship and graduate programs and provide bespoke training packages to support candidates and educate managers on inclusive recruitment practices.

Working with ICN Victoria

ICN Victoria’s events and the Gateway by ICN platform offer vital opportunities for JustWorks to showcase its services, learn about upcoming projects, and build connections with like-minded organisations. This collaboration enhances JustWorks’ ability to navigate social procurement and strengthen industry ties.

“Engaging with ICN Victoria allows JustWorks to connect with a broader network of industry professionals committed to inclusive employment practices,” Liberman notes.

“Social procurement connects businesses with social enterprises like JustWorks, leveraging our expertise to create meaningful employment opportunities,” explains Liberman.

Success stories

JustWorks candidate, Dumie, highlighted the support she received throughout the recruitment process.

Diverse hiring is crucial for tapping into a broad talent pool looking to make a positive contribution and driving innovation. With support from JustWorks, Cate recently entered into a new career.

“Without JustWorks, I wouldn’t have applied for this role. They gave me the confidence to go through the interview process, and now, after almost two months, I feel more empowered than ever.”

Dumie, another candidate, highlights the support she received throughout the recruitment process.

“JustWorks provided help with my resume, interview preparation, and confidence building. Diverse hiring exposes employers to many hidden skill sets that otherwise would not be explored.”

By partnering with ICN Victoria, JustWorks hopes to encourage both candidates and employers to succeed together through shared social impact.

“Together, we can make a significant impact,” concludes Liberman.
