Curtis Custom Works – NT Showcase Company

Curtis Custom Works is a local Indigenous business specialising in fabrication of a range of products in aluminium, stainless or mild steel.

Jack established the business in early 2020, working out of his vehicle and then from a small workshop located in Woolner along with his trusty side-kick, Bucket (Jack’s adorable Kelpie). Throughout COVID his business has continued to grow and flourish.

The early days for the business were focused on increasing capabilities by purchasing big-ticket workshop facilities such as a brake press, guillotine, and pulse mig for welding aluminium. The workshop facilities enable the business to complete small scale work in the workshop. Further to this, Curtis Custom Works has the ability to complete larger-scale projects on site.

While a majority of the business’s work is light to medium steel and aluminium fabrication, Jack also has the capability and experience working with mining and marine clients and is looking to continue branching into the commercial space.

During its smooth and rapid introduction to the fabrication industry, Jack has forged great relationships with other Territory businesses and has a contract on Groote Eylandt.

2021 is looking promising in the sense that Jack is already on the hunt for a larger facility to further increase his capabilities to allow for larger-scale projects in-house.
