What is ICN SA?

In South Australia, ICN SA is embedded within the Government of South Australia, Department of State Development, to assist urban and regional communities in increasing economic prosperity.

ICN SA was established in 1986, and everything we do is guided by a clear vision to help increase economic activity and jobs for the business community of South Australia and, more generally, Australia.

We introduce businesses of all sizes to projects large and small across SA, as well as to a network of experienced industry procurement and supply chain specialists.

Bettina Venner

Bettina is Manager Supply Chain Development in the Government of South Australia, Department of State Development, focusing on developing supply chains in the minerals, energy, infrastructure, defence and other sectors and leading the Industry Capability Network in South Australia (ICN SA). She has worked as a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry in South Africa, Germany and Australia before joining government. Her government roles include policy, regulation and economic development.

Supply Chain Manager

Eddie Ivar

Eddie is a Supply Chain Manager who supports project owners and their tier-one contractors in building local supply chains across a variety of industry sectors, particularly major infrastructure, mining, and defence construction projects. Since joining the ICN team in 2007, he has developed a strong knowledge of local supplier capabilities and has supported various businesses in connecting to opportunities across these sectors. Eddie studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Australia and brings a good understanding of manufacturing and construction processes to his role.

Supply Chain Manager Defence

Ariane Lopes

Ariane is Supply Chain Manager Defence for the Industry Capability Network (ICN) working within the Government of South Australia, Department of State Development. Ariane’s role is to build local supply chains for defence projects by working closely with defence primes such as BAE Systems and their Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). She is also responsible for facilitating business-to-business matching. Ariane possesses deep experience and expertise in international trade and investment, having worked for various organisations in France and Australia, including Austrade in Paris, the NSW Government, the French Trade Commission in Sydney and the South Australian Government. Throughout her career, she has supported both French and Australian companies to achieve sustainable success in international markets. Ariane is passionate about her work and her support of the defence industry.

Supply Contracts Manager

Jeff Camburn

Jeff is a Supply Contracts Manager, working with major project proponents to support maximum local content. He also supports businesses transitioning into new sectors by providing networks for additional support and guidance. Jeff works at many levels, from dealing with major project owners, project managers, procurement teams and construction teams to the businesses supplying these projects. He also works with state and local government, business associations and business networks. Jeff understands the landscape of the industry sector to support local businesses with opportunities over the horizon and the best model of engagement to access those projects. Jeff’s background includes fitter and turner, procurement and economic development.

David Royle

David is a Supply Chain Consultant and has experience liaising with major projects, including oil & gas, defence, mining, construction, energy and manufacturing sectors, to advise on local industry capability and establish effective relationships that develop local and global supply chain opportunities. David’s background includes 20 years working within the construction and manufacturing industry sectors, which has given him a broad knowledge of industry supply chains, Australian Industry Participation (A.I.P), and Local Industry Participation (L.I.P).
