Capability Connection – Promoting businesses in Melbourne, SE Queensland and Townsville

The Capability Connection – a new local capability register, was launched in May 2021 by the Hon Christian Porter MP, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology.

This free online register is currently available as a six-month pilot for businesses located in Greater Melbourne, South East Queensland and Townsville.

The Capability Connection was developed with industry to provide a simple register of local businesses and ability to search for local suppliers and opportunities. The register aims to improve supply chain visibility as well as foster collaboration between local businesses.

The Capability Connection allows businesses to register and promote their actual and potential capabilities to other businesses and the public. There are over 4,000 companies listed. As a public platform, anyone can run a search.

ICN Limited was integral in the creation and build of the new register and is managing the system on behalf of the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.
