Commonwealth Games 2026 – On your marks

Now is the time for businesses to step up to the starting block and get on your marks for the Commonwealth Games.

The ICN Gateway Commonwealth Games page is now live to support supply chain register their interest.

By registering, ICN Victoria will share your capability with the companies responsible for Commonwealth Games activities.

At this point there are no specific packages listed, register to keep updated. Either in one of the regions detailed OR if you are working in more than one region, for the multi-region work package.

Industry briefings and specific supply chain opportunities will be released through ICN Gateway Commonwealth Games pages.

If you do not have a ICN Gateway profile set up, a sub link is contained within the above page allowing you to create one. Subscription levels provide you with more marketing options.

It is also important to ensure that you have your ICN Gateway notifications turned on and your capability and experience clearly detailed. This is for the estimated $3B of opportunities for Commonwealth Games and also the $253B of opportunities shared by ICN Victoria over the last year. Project specific pages and supplier questionnaires to register for will be released as activity progresses.

Goods and Services Procurement Pipeline has been released

The pipeline represents major opportunities for businesses big and small, all pitching together to deliver the biggest event regional Victoria has ever seen.

In total, more than 1,200 future procurement activities have been identified by Games organisers, ranging from transport and catering to gold medals and golf balls.

Venue and Village Construction Pipeline is underway

The Victorian Government is embarking on a significant pipeline of construction works to build Games villages and competition venues and ensure they continue being used by the community for generations.

  • Games Village in Geelong
  • Games Village in Morwell
  • Games Village in Ballarat
  • Games Village in Bendigo
  • Key capital works for other competition venues
  • A new aquatics centre in Armstrong Creek
  • A new multi-purpose centre in Waurn Ponds
  • Major redevelopment of Eureka Stadium

The Games villages will help deliver a legacy of affordable and social housing, and the new venues in Armstrong Creek and Waurn Ponds – which will host competition events for swimming, para-swimming, diving, weightlifting, para-powerlifting and artistic gymnastics – will be converted to community use following the Games
