Since 2014, ICN Queensland has worked with Defence Jobs Queensland to deliver a series of capability workshops to assist industry to access Defence business opportunities.
The workshops raise awareness and understanding of Defence business. The goal is to help local supplies develop persuasive techniques to effectively engage with the Department of Defence procurers and industry prime contractors.
ICN Qld have delivered four types of workshops, with different sessions targeting different industries:
- Defence Business 101 – introduction for businesses wanting to access Defence or prime contractor supply chains.
- Quad Charts – practical workshop on how to develop a quad chart so businesses can market themselves better to Defence and prime contractors.
- Pitching 4 Defence – mentor companies to hone their pitch for Defence specific industry showcases and trade shows.
- Tendering 4 Defence – understanding Defence tenders, excluding major projects, and how to submit successful tenders for ADF business. This is not a tender writing workshop (not how to write tenders).
