ICN consultants from across the country recently attended the Land Forces 2021 Conference in Brisbane, where they had the opportunity to network with and learn from national and international Defence primes and suppliers.
Land Forces 2021 attracted 12,766 attendances from industry, government and defence over three days in early June. More than 700 companies took part, with participants learning from 26 conferences, symposia and seminars.
ICN Limited Business Development Manager, Adam Castle, said the event was an opportunity to meet with suppliers and buyers of all shapes and sizes.
“It was useful to see the whole span and diversity of the industry, as well as promote ICN’s role in bringing them together,” he said.
ICN Limited hosted an exhibition stand at the event, and ICN state-based consultants were also involved in their respective State Government exhibits.
“What worked well was one or two people working at the stand, with others moving around the exhibition hall, speaking to people and promoting ICN services.
“Our consultants were also able to attend specific workshops and learn more about the industry.”
Adam was impressed by the diversity of the Defence industry and the agility of its suppliers.
Unfortunately, Melbourne’s lockdown prevented ICN Vic representatives from attending, but the national ICN network means other states can share information with their Victorian counterparts.
