Hello,

Last month saw a packed calendar of events as October Business Month was in full swing. Our ICN office participated in seven events, ranging from hosting of workshops to assist business in updating their ICN profile, to participating on panels and even presenting the future pipeline of projects across the Territory.

One of the highlights of the month was the release of the Master Builder’s “Billion Dollar Partnership: Economic Impacts of Defence Infrastructure in the Northern Territory”. A report within which ICN was named as a project partner, having provided seven years’ worth of procurement and engagement data to support ACIL Allen in their economic modelling. The report forecasts the Northern Territory will see $6.2 billion dollars in defence infrastructure investment from 2023 – 2027 and a copy of the report can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eAghAmEV

On the topic of defence infrastructure, on the 25th of October we hosted the industry briefing for Laing O’Rourke’s RAAF Darwin Refresh Program. The briefing was well attended with 200 registrants in attendance. The ICN Gateway page for the project is now live with 14 work packages open for expression of interest, closing on the 1st of December 2023. Expressions of interest can be lodged at raafdarwinrefreshprogram.icn.org.au

Make sure your business profile is up to date, and if you would like to chat to our team about project opportunities in the Northern Territory, please reach out.

Regards,

Daniel McCormick
Acting Chief Executive Officer
