Industry AdviserPeter McCrackenPeter McCracken is the Regional Industry Adviser for Geelong, Barwon and Great South Coast. Peter has extensive experience in manufacturing – particularly in the automotive sector – with roles covering business development/sales, training, installation, and production. Peter has worked at the Ford Motor Company, at which he held a range of roles from electrical to plant supervisor. Peter then moved onto both technical and business development roles with companies such as Clipsal, Schneider Electric and Eaton Industries. Industry AdviserColin YoungColin Young is the Regional Industry Adviser for Gippsland. Colin has an extensive background in the energy sector, including more than 25 years as Engineering Manager at Victoria’s largest power station, Loy Yang A. As a long-term local resident of Gippsland, Colin has a passion for regional business with a particular focus on helping them transition to renewable energy opportunities as they emerge. Renewable Energy Industry AdviserLisa MaroLisa Maro is our Renewable Energy Industry Adviser, working on the huge number of renewable projects in Victoria. Lisa is excited to be a part of this dynamic team helping to maximise local content in this rapid growth sector. She will also work on some metro-based strategic construction projects. Lisa comes to us from the power industry, having worked in national sales roles selling locally manufactured substation products across many sectors including the renewables industry. Industry AdviserDavid EyreDavid has over 40 years of experience within naval construction programs, having been involved in the design, development and construction of submarines, patrol boats and frigates. David’s detailed knowledge of the maritime domain, as well as the broader Australian defence industry is made stronger through the connections he has forged with prime contractors, international stakeholders, Government officials and industry groups David has qualifications in engineering, project management and business management with a broad skill set, enabling him to take on and succeed in influential roles across engineering and design, contracts and subcontractor management, as well as senior leadership positions. Industry Adviser – Construction (Innovation & Sustainability)Matt FletcherPreviously, Matt was a Co-Founder at Made by Bare, a prefabrication company specialising in modular construction and tiny homes. Matt has previously worked at a number of construction companies specialising in prefabrication. Matt has a passion for innovative and sustainable construction and how these ideas are played out in the built environment. Matt holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Sustainability. He has worked at consultancy SGS Economics and Planning where he found a passion for housing models that prioritised people. Matt has a passion for the outdoors, music and keeping active. Lindsay RattrayLindsay has been working in the construction industry for 7 years, having worked at ADCO Constructions as a Site Engineer for the last year, and at Kane Constructions for nearly 6 years before that. Having never worked in the construction industry prior, in 2017, Lindsay landed a casual role as a Project Office Coordinator and worked her way up to a Site Engineer role over the last 7 years. Lindsay has previously been a part of ICN during 2018-2020 as an Analytics Support Officer, for the reporting software used before the VMC. She is passionate about the construction industry and has been an advocate for social procurement and Local Jobs First at the construction companies she has worked at. Lindsay is looking forward to rejoining ICN to start the next stage of her career, where she hopes to hone her knowledge and skills in the policy space of the construction industry.
