Incos Engineering has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by McDermott Asia Pacific to supply the active Fire Fighting systems and equipment for the Woodside Scarborough FPU (Floating Produtcion Unit). The contract includes local manufacturing of engineered fire fighting deluge and clean agent skid based systems. Incos Engineering competed globally for the project against many international companies and was ultimately able to demonstrate its technical proficiency the benefits of local quality and local support for this safety critical equipment.

The Scarborough Project is a significant award for the team and the main fire protection equipment list consists of:
2 x 4-tonne Deluge Multi Valve skids, a 15-tonne Gas Fire Suppression skid (Novec 1230) and miscellaneous fire fighting equipment including Firewater Hydrant Stations, Cabinets, Hoses, Nozzles and Extinguishers. Of note, the Deluge skids and Novec skid are bespoke designs to be built and tested by Incos Engineering at the facility in Perth Western Australia, with delivery to the client expected in Q2 2023.

This contract follows on from the earlier award to Incos Engineering for hundreds of specialised fire protection nozzles for the Scarborough FPU. The nozzles are a venture between Incos Engineering and a business partner in Norway to manufacture fit for purpose heat attenuating escape route nozzles.

Incos Engineering had submitted their Expression of Interest on the ICN Gateway for the Woodside Scarborough project.
